Home building has always been a family affair for A&G Homes Inc. Founder and owner, Amer Salameh has been in the construction business since his adolescent years when his grandpa asked for an extra hand at the job sites. With experience in every aspect of the construction process, Amer learned to appreciate the art of building homes with honesty, integrity and hard work.
In 1985, following his time spent working with his grandfather, Amer and his brother started Salameh Brothers Construction Inc., where they worked in commercial building and renovations in Washington DC, including high-rise hotels, apartment complexes and schools.
In 1999, Amer and his wife Gigi, wanted to focus on their passion for home building and started A&G Homes Inc, serving the the greater Washington DC area, building high quality homes. With a wide range of expertise, Amer has built homes to cater for the needs of his clients, always looking out for their best interests. By combining his many decades of knowledge, Amer provides customers with honest answers and solutions, coupled with the highest quality materials at reasonable prices. Today A&G Homes continues to build exquisite homes in Arlington and Fairfax County, as well as waterfront homes in Lake Anna, Virginia.
Meet Mark Smith
In 2019, in response to the many requests for custom homes and remodeling, the A&G Builders division was founded. Leading the new division is Mark Smith, a principal in the firm, who has more than 30 years experience building custom homes, remodeling existing homes, and doing additions and build-outs. A native of Richmond, Mark's approach to managing large projects includes a strong commitment to communication between all parties, including sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers. More importantly, Mark keeps in constant contact with the homeowners, ensuring no detail is overlooked. Using weekly OAC meetings (owner/architect/contractor), weekly job logs with photos, and budget updates with costs to complete spread sheets, all parties stay on the same page, with no surprises.
